Inaugural Year Committee Mission
2023-24

Consistent with Pitzer’s tradition of inclusiveness and shared governance, the Inaugural Year Committee will focus on the following:

A. Develop a calendar of meetings and events that will help President 斯特罗姆C. 查克 forge important relationships, both internally and externally, early in his term, including:
● The President’s formal inauguration
● A schedule of associated campus welcome receptions
● A priorities list for additional engagement opportunities

B. Provide the President with information regarding Pitzer’s mission, issues and priorities within each College constituency – faculty, 工作人员, 学生, 校友, 家庭, 受托人, and the local community – and enable each constituent group to share input in these areas through their committee representative.

C. Support the positioning of 斯特罗姆C. 查克 as a thought leader in higher education to broadly elevate the trailblazing work of Pitzer College and advance its core values as a social justice and inclusive liberal arts institution, including:
● Social Responsibility
● Intercultural Understanding
● Interdisciplinary Learning
● Student Engagement
● Environmental Sustainability
